We are thrilled to announce that The Real McCoy Thrift Store has relocated to a new location!

Due to the amazing support and donations from our dedicated community who believe and support our mission, we were able to move from a 4,000 square foot space to an 8,000 square foot space! Not only did we move to a larger building but we moved to a building that is in a more central location, providing us with more exposure. This move represents more than just a change of scenery; it’s a step towards expanding our impact and continuing our mission to support both our organization and the wider community.

This is our fourth move, and we couldn’t be more excited about this new location. We celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and WLBT3 wrote a wonderful article about our new move!

The Real McCoy Thrift Store provides support to The McCoy House Extended Care for Women, a nonprofit organization dedicated to women recovering from Substance Use Disorders, trauma, abuse, neglect, and mental disorders. We embrace the values of social responsibility by providing a service to the Greater Jackson area, assisting other local charities, and empowering the community to make a positive difference. Our thrift store provides employment and volunteer opportunities to many people in our community who want to make a difference such as students, retirees, and residents at the house.

The Real McCoy Thrift Store has always been a vital part of our extended care program. Our thrift store is a unique element that supports the McCoy House, encourages community involvement, raises awareness for Substance Use recovery, and has a positive impact on the community.

Our thrift store not only supports The McCoy House Extended Care for Women but we also support many other local organizations such as:

• Shower Power
• Numerous animal shelters in the area
• Local Churches
• Schools
• Gateway
• The Jackson Fire Department and Jackson Police Department
• Donating items to local non-profit organizations for various silent auctions and fundraisers
• Big House Books

This move would never have been possible if it wasn’t for the outstanding support for individuals and organizations in our local community who helped with the renovations. To everyone who helped, has donated to the thrift store, made purchases, or has spread the word about our mission, we extend our heartfelt thanks.
